Rangemaster – CV7003 (OC44)

A Rangemaster with 3-way tone switch and and knobs for Bias and Boost. Built on vero with Vishay caps, BC electros and a CV7003 germanium transistor (mil spec OC44). There’s also a switch to disconnect the battery when the pedal’s not in use. Finished in a blue hammerite.

Rangemaster – AC176

A Dallas Rangemaster clone using an NPN AC176 germanium transistor with an additional Range knob to go from full range to treble boost. Built with Philips electros, a K40Y-9 output cap and an internal bias control. The use of an NPN transistor makes the circuit negative ground, so its power supply can be daisy-chained with other negative ground effects. Finished in a dark gold hammertone with a clear/blue LED and white chickenhead knobs.

TS808/Rangemaster/Clean boost

A 3-in-1 multi effect with a TS808 and boost section, both of which can be turned on or off independently. The middle toggle selects the order of the effects when both are engaged. The boost section is made up of a Rangemaster circuit with an AC176 NPN germanium transistor and a clean mosfet boost circuit with separate Volume knobs. A toggle switch is used to select between Rangemaster or clean boost. The Rangemaster also has a Tone knob to go from treble to full range boost. The TS808 uses a toggle to switch between asymmetrical clipping with silicon diodes or LED clipping.

Rangemaster – CV7112

A Dallas Rangemaster clone with a CV7112 (mil spec version of OC140) germanium transistor. The CV7112 is an NPN transistor so the pedal can be daisy-chained with other NPN effects. It features a 3-way toggle switch that selects a treble, mid or full boost, an internal trimmer to adjust bias, a white LED and gold hammertone finish.
For Arjan in Belgium.

Rangemaster – AC176

A clone of the Dallas Rangemaster germanium treble booster in a small 1590A box. It uses an AC176 NPN transistor so it’s power supply can be daisy-chained with other negative ground pedals. Built to stock values except for the input cap which is a 6.8nf instead of the stock 5nf value. It’s also got an internal trimmer to adjust the bias. Wima caps, metal film resistors, Neutrik jacks, a clear/blue LED, a cream chickenhead knob and finished in a blue hammertone.
