A clone of the Ampeg Scrambler fuzz/distortion which first appeared at the tail-end of the 60s. It’s a unique sounding effect, producing a raucous, searing distortion which can produce upper octave harmonics, dialed in with the The Texture knob. The Balance knob sets the blend amount between the dry and effected signal, which made it popular with bass players. With the Balance knob at minimum (or fully dry), the dry signal matches the level of the bypassed signal. An additional Effect Volume knob can also be added which can increase the level of the distorted signal, as this was quite low in original units.
