Buzzaround

A clone of the Baldwin Burns Buzzaround which is a bit of a cult classic. A similar circuit to the Tone Bender MkIII but a much wilder ride. Not as smooth, it spits and snarls but with surprising clarity. “All the stars in space falling to earth” is how Dave Main of D*A*M pedals describes cranking the Sustain knob. The three knobs control Balance (bias), Timbre (tone) and Sustain (fuzz). The volume is set by first adjusting Sustain and Timbre (whereby the level increases on the bass side), then setting the volume with the Balance knob. Usually built with AC125 or mixed germanium transistors. It can be built on vero or tagboard, and can also have a voltage converter added with allows its power supply to be daisy-chained with regular negative ground pedals (veroboard only).

Price: €120.00 (add €10 for tagboard build, €5 for voltage converter).

A Buzzaround with extra Volume knob and mixed germaniums.
