Earth Sound Research – Graphic Fuzz

A clone of the Graphic Fuzz by the Earth Sound Research company who were making amps and some effect pedals in New York in the 70s. The Graphic Fuzz is an opamp based fuzz which just used an LM741CP chip, four resistors and four ceramic capacitors. As well as the usual volume (Boost) knob, it features an odd Filter control which was said to produce a sort of cocked wah sound. The filter peak is quite resonant and some users report a whistling oscillating sound in some original units, the pitch of which can be controlled by the Filter knob. This clone uses a switchable taming cap which softens the peak and cuts out the oscillating, while still offering the filtered sound. Some interesting tones can be had with the Filter knob or it can just be turned down for a straight up, full sounding 70s style opamp fuzz, with a lot of boost on tap. As well as the LM741CP chip, it also uses Panasonic film caps though ceramics can be used on request. Polarity protection and power filtering are also added and it can be run off a 9v battery or a regular Boss-style 9v supply.

Price: €85.00
