Harmonic Percolator

A clone of the Interfax HP-1 Harmonic Percolator built point-to-point on high quality phenolic tagboard. Probably best known for its association with Steve Albini. It’s a fantastic sounding fuzz which produces the more musical even order harmonics while suppressing odd order.
Knobs control Harmonics (input gain) and Balance (volume). The toggle switch lifts the clipping section from the signal path for a louder, more open sound.
Like the original it uses a germanium 2N404A transistor and a silicon 2N3565 transistor, silver mica and tantalum capacitors along with the rarer 1N695 germanium diodes for clipping. Also features high quality BC and Ero Vishay capacitors, metal film resistors, power filtering and shielded cable to help reduce noise.
Powered by a 9v battery or a standard Boss-style 9v power supply.

Price: €100.00 veroboard (€110.00 tagboard)

It can also be built on veroboard in a smaller box, as seen above.
