Maestro MFZ-1

A clone of the Maestro Fuzz MFZ-1. Built to stock values with the addition of a bass cut switch which removes some low end. Knobs control Drive and Volume. It produces fuzz by the clipping of the silicon diodes in the feedback loop of the op-amp, generating low order odd harmonic distortion. It uses a TL022CP op-amp, high quality BC and Ero Vishay caps, Panasonic caps, Neutrik jacks and Alpha pots with the usual choice of colour, knobs and LED. It can also be built in a smaller box, knobs on top or with jacks at the front. Great thrashy, garage fuzz well known for its association with The Black Keys.
